For those who are dreaming of a life in Canada. This program is for people with skilled work experience who want to immigrate permanently. The Federal Skilled Worker program (FSW) allows you to submit a profile to the Express Entry system where you can be nominated for permanent residence.
How do I know if I qualify?
If you meet all the minimum requirements, application based on:
- age (12 points)
- education (25 points)
- work experience (15 points)
- whether you have a valid job offer (10 points)
- English and/or French (28 points)
- adaptability (how well you are likely to settle here) (10 points)
These requirements or “factors” give you points out of 100. You earn points for how well you do in each of the 6 factors. The current pass mark is 67 points.
Generally speaking, you need the following: one year full time (or the part-time equivalent) work within the last 10 years doing professional or technical jobs, or being a manager. You need a minimum of CLB 7 in your language assessment. You must also have some money for settling into Canada.
