Foreigners (migrant workers) in Canada can try to obtain a work permit through a special authorization that the employer obtains through the Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) office, called a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).
It is important to clarify that it is the employer who must process this LMIA. It is the employer who must cover the expenses involved in the LMIA process!
AMIGRAR offers the necessary professional advice to the employer who needs to apply for an LMIA. Tell your employer to contact us, and when referred by a worker, we will make a substantial reduction in professional costs!
Once the LMIA is approved, then it is the worker who is responsible for applying for his/her work permit.
As a worker, what do you need to obtain a closed work permit? You need a letter from the company with the job offer, additionally an employment contract that you have signed, and finally the number or letter of the approved LMIA. At AMIGRAR we fill out the corresponding forms, write an explanatory letter with all the arguments, and advise you on how to pay the immigration fees online (usually $155).
Don’t forget, at AMIGRAR our director Luis Alberto Mata offers you the professional advice necessary to correctly process your work permit!
