The GTS is part of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program – TFWP. The principal applicant gets a Employer Specific Work Permit (means: closed WP to one specific employer) valid for three years. No IELTS or CELPIP is required.
The Spouse or Common-Law Partner can apply for an Open Work Permit.
Through the GTS employers can hire migrant workers with specific dedicated knowledge to fulfill positions that couldn’t be fulfilled locally. Applicants can be from everywhere, and the LMIA is processed faster (10 days) in a simpler way.
Employer needs to submit a Labour Market Benefits Plan, and handle the WP fees application of $1,000 CND.
Applicants may get pathway to Permanent Residence after one year of working experience, under the Canadian Experience Class (Express Entry).
Occupations – Category A
NOC A professionals such as doctors, dentist, engineers, architects, etc.
Employer must be referred by the GTS Designated Partners to proof eligibility and legitimacy
Principal applicant must have a unique and specialized talent including Advance Degree or five (5) years of experience in the field
Minimum wage $38.46 hourly nor less than $80,000 annually
Occupations – Category A
NOC B – Computer and digital media related occupations, including technical jobs and Skilled Trade jobs that requires diploma. Wages under category B, employers must offer the hourly wage rate at minimum, references on Job Bank, LinkedIn, Monster, Indeed
